A really fun experience.. a must visit if you're in town visiting Washington. A wide variety if yummy crepes and other assorted breakfasty foods. Beautifully decorated inside and downstairs.. A fun mix of artsy decor and tasty food =) Had a bananas foster crepe while we were here - it was amazing!
I meet my daughter here for lunch and we love this place! Try their chicken salad it's fabulous! The staff is as sweet as can be and always try to make sure that our visit is special. They have a limited menu here, but what they do offer is so good that there is really no need for a ton of choices. Thanks for everything Jennie and Grace and may God continue to bless you! Mindy
Jennie and Grace is named both after the owner's grandmother, Jennie, and for how she wants you to feel in her shop, totally accepted, and with grace. The coffee house is charming, exuding warmth and kindness. The coffee was wonderful, and the blueberry, white chocolate scone was large, moist, and clearly homemade. There is a feeling of spirituality in the shop, including the intention and prayer area in the corner, allowing patrons to leave their wishes in a cascading group of porcelain tea cups, attached to the wall. Knick knacks and gift items are placed throughout the shop, creating an opportunity to browse, enjoy, and purchase. The theme of the store is centered around female empowerment and acceptance. This is a great place to chat with a friend, sit quietly with a book, or grab coffee or tea, for a walk down the street to nearby unique and lovely shops, blocks from the waterfront.
Nice job handling the rush of eclipse traffic at their shop. Had a more limited selection because of the crowd before us, but still lots to choose from.
The coffee drinks are delicious. The bakes goods are terrific. And the crepes are outstanding!
