This happened towards early 2017, can't really remember exactly when though, but I had some sort of bad flu that was going around, they refused to prescribe me any sort of medication and told me I had to just wait it out, a few days later I felt worse so I went to see an ACTUAL doctor instead of the wannabes here, doctor instantly told me I had pneumonia (which can be fatal if severe enough which could have been avoided if I just got the prescription the first time I went to this place) he instantly gave me a prescription for it though, I'm better now thankfully and luckily still alive, no thanks to these joke "doctors" though, was originally gonna give 1 star, but they have helped me anytime I got strep throat, so those visits went smoothly compared to my flu related visit.
about 3 years ago the out side of entrance says urgent care and inside as well. had them bill me for my urgent care copay. the bill was 4 times as much because they billed my insurance co. for out patient services. Urgent care has one co pay only and no other bills. Convenient care has very different billing and just not one bill. Ins co has been given all the info on this. lets see what happens. Don't go to any "Convenient Care" for Urgent Care services. They are not the same period. a little over a year ago I went back and the out side entrance said Urgent Care But at the counter it said Convenient Care. I turned around to leave and a lady came running out from behind the counter and asked if I needed help. i asked if this was an Urgent Care or a Convenient Care and she gave me the run around on the answer. so I left. Convenient Care services are not the same as Urgent Care.
Went to the urgent care June 22nd for a bad cough and ear ache. Only pro to my review is that I was in and out very quickly. The rest of the visit was useless. My doctor told me I had a respiratory cold but no infection? She told me I had fluid in my ear and then gave me no help on fixing the problem and my ear is still hurting. The medicine she prescribed me doesn't help my cold it just surpesses my cough so I haven't gotten any better taking the medicine. To top it off my prescription says never to take the medicine to suppress a productive cough producing mucus that can be spit out and thats exactly what my cough is doing. I think this doctor wanted to give me a quick prescription and didn't care to actually help me. Ill be seeing a different doctor tomorrow. Complete waste of time and money.
Many of these reviews are ignorant. There is no medicinal cure for the common cold so a suppressant was literally all they could give you. If your grandfather's health was that bad then that's a trip for the ER not convenient care. I've had many positive experiences with this clinic and it's a shame it's rating is tarnished by idiots.
Never see a doctor it's always nurse practitioners. Was seen 11/3/17 and the nurse practitioner was talking to me like I was a teenager and I'm 30! This is the last time I will be using Mercy Convenient care. Had a problem a year ago with them as will. Still hasn't changed!
