My 9 year old was visiting my mother during his summer vacation and ended up having appendicitis the second day he was there. The staff at Mercy was amazing. I had to travel from Georgia (and made the trip in record time) so I wasn't there for he surgery. The surgeon took the time to get on the phone with me and explain everything and answer any questions before and after the operation. The nurses were great with him. I made it to the hospital and the nurses catered to every possible need either he or I had. The night nurse kept telling him that he was her favorite patient and the day we left, all three of his daytime nurses walked him out and told him how great he was. It could have been a very traumatic experience for him, but the staff made it much easier. I'm grateful for the care my son received.

A big THANK YOU! to the nurses on the Labor and Delivery floor of Mercy Hospital Washington, and also to Dr. Elizabeth Hammer. Our little girl was born there just a few days ago, and they made our experience just wonderful. My husband and I are adoptive parents, and we felt nothing but their full support for our family's unique needs. They included us in the process and made us feel welcome. Dr. Hammer of course took our daughter's medical needs as her primary concern, and was approachable and kind in the process. She was flexible within typical hospital and newborn-baby protocol to make things as easy and comfortable for our family as possible; first during our hospital stay, but then again for our follow-up visits and transition home to our regular primary care provider. These providers are absolutely wonderful. Thank you again!

I've also spoken to more than several people who say this has happened to them.

Hospital stay in March 2016 would have been some type of communication. But some were nice.

DO NOT TRUST THIS HOSPITAL! THEY VACCINATE MY NEWBORN AGAINST MY WISHES AND THE MISDIAGNOSED STAPH AS SHINGLES 6 TIMES. THAT IS ALARMINGLY INCOMPETENT. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE YOUR BABY HERE BECAUSE THE NURSES WILL IGNORE THE RIGHTS YOU HAVE TO MAKE MEDICAL DECISIONS FOR YOUR CHILD. THIS IS VERY COMMON PRACTICE! IF YOU DECLINED A DAY 1 VACCINATION I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO CHECK YOUR CHILDRENS MEDICAL RECORDS BECAUSE THERE IS A VERY GOOD CHANCE THEY WERE VACCINATED AGAINST YOUR WISHES. I HAVE TATTOOS AND PIERCINGS BUT I AM ALSO VERY EDUCATED AND THIS STAFF HERE WILL BE SO DISRESPECTFUL TO YOU. I HAVE BEEN TREATED VERY POORLY AND RECEIVED TOO MANY MISDIAGNOSIS. IT IS ALARMING THAT THE DOCTORS HERE CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STAPH AND SHINGLES. THEY ALSO PRESCRIBE OPIATES LIKE TIC TACS HERE! EVERYTIME THEY SAID I HAD SHINGLES THEY WROTE A SCRIPT FOR PERCS AND ANTIVIRALS. NEVER ONCE DID A TEST ON THE PATCH OF BLISTERS, NOT ONLY WILL THEY MISDIAGNOSE YOU BIT THEN YOU HAVE TO WONDER WHO IS GETTING PEOPLE IN FRANKLIN COUNTY HOOKED. THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST TRAUMATIC HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. MY PARTNER AND I DO NOT HAVE STDS AND THAT IS WHY WE DECLINED DAY ONE VACCINES. HEPATITIS B HAS 224MCG OF ALUMINUM IN IT AND THEY ASSAULTED MY NEWBORN. THEY ARE NOT VERY RESPONSIVE WHEN YOU COMPLAIN. THEIS HOSPITAL SUCKS. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT A NEGATIVE 5000

Wouldn't leave any stars if I could, my emergency room visit was horrible. Went there after car accident, they couldn't care less! The doctor told me I had no fractures and could leave, waited and waited for someone to unhook me and take the side rails down, nobody came so I scooted to the end of the bed and unhooked everything myself, still nobody! Got dressed went to the front desk, they said your not in the computer you can leave. No paperwork, nothing! Wouldn't send my worst enemy there!

The largest issue is the billing department. They're either evil or need a ton of training. Mass communication and they still insist on billing me twice & turning us over to collections. Since the middle of last year & I've been getting constant harassment.
