Schulte's is quite possibly the best doughnut shop in the region. Now living in Columbia, I was able to try a few other doughnut shops. Nothing has come close to being as good as Schulte's. I need to bring some of these to my work colleagues so they can experience the what truly delicious doughnuts really taste like.
Stopped in to get a few dozen cookies from these folks in late September 2017 and they were the nicest people I have ever met. Learned all about the business and where the recipes came from. They are an excellent example of great people, in a small town, making an awesome product. I am from Michigan and the next time in am in the area, I will be back! If you are within an hour or so (or more) of this bakery, you must give it a try. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
To this date, I haven't eaten better doughnuts! A guilty pleasure, for sure! Usually busy, arrive early for best selection!!
