This is what a small town BBQ would be like in Texas. If you want polite staff and table cloths keep moving. If you want down to earth " what do you want Hon" staff and a good BBQ I would recommend the experience
If you are looking for good BBQ and some family style eating, this is a good place. Easy walking from the convention center and several big hotels.. food is good and even when packed they pump it out hot and fresh
While the service was very good, the food was not. 3 out of the 4 of us became ill after eating there. Also, as a transplant from the east coast, I would love to know how sugarfire decided "Carolina bbq" is just yellow mustard? The piled pork was good, but ruined by the yellow mustard dumped on top to make it "Carolina BBQ", the ribs and brisket were extremely dry and tough. We will not be returning.
My first time there was great. The manager hooked us up with a sample of a great shake. And was super cool. Food was great and atmosphere was great. Awesome to go on a date or a beer with the boys.
Great food for the price! The meat is amazing and you can tell they do a lot onsite with their food. Freshness, and with a retro smokehouse vibe. This place is a great stop!
I've never had a bad experience here (or any other Sugarfire honestly) . Excellent food and great staff. Had the Saturday special Brisko melt, smoked brisket, house bacon, Swiss and American cheese with onion rings and special sauce on Texas toast. Yes it's as good as it sounds. Had it with Mac and cheese with rib meat. The desserts always look so good but I've never had room to try them.
